Hello all,

Our agency is responsible for many different programs but a large part of the organization is HepC and HIV testing. We have certified outreach workers that meet clients wherever they are. We are one of the only organizations right now, in Montana, running a needle exchange program. Over the last couple of months we have had a huge increase in testing as well as people wanting to exchange used needles for clean needles. This is a very expensive program to run as we have to get rid of the used syringes and pay for all the syringes our self because federal dollars cannot be used for anything in relation to syringes. On top of that, we did not get approved for a grant that we recently submitted. A huge loss – we have had this grant for the last 20 years.

With the loss of our grant, it means..

NO syringe exchange
NO visiting MT reservations
NO visiting MCDC in Butte
NO visiting classes at ADSGC
NO money for HepC tests

Our outreach program has been stopped.

I have started a GoFundMe to raise money to hire an outreach worker and to purchase syringes. If you can donate, that would be fantastic. And if you can’t, that is absolutely understandable, but if you could share this on your pages that would be equally as great. Thank you.
