For most, that sense of powerlessness evolves from our own ignorance of the laws that are there to protect us. Most of us ﬁnd ourselves unaware, or uninformed, of the provisions of policy and law that offer a proper and just course of action to take in presenting our grievances to respective agency authorities and the courts. "They offer an inmate a parole board meeting before they are eligible. If the inmate isn’t aware of this when he shows up they flip them for a full year or two if they are exceptionally early. That way they can set the budget and count on that income for the next year or two." Continue reading →
