It would be helpfull to know how many were paroled in January and February of this year. The reason is to see if they are trying to keep their numbers up for the budget reasons.

Spoken very well Joy: What does any body think it will take for him to at least answer why he is so inamered with the running of the correctional department? It doesn't even matter what you point out to the governor it's like he is stone deaf and the way he can ignor you and the cover he gets from the people around him make is so frustrating you want to scream.

If you read my last letter to the editor in the Great Falls tribune I feel the absence of information that we can get from the prisons is what allows the bad to continue. If you don't have relative or friend to go there and visit you never know what is going on. When your relative or friend leaves your information stops and they close ranks with all the relatives that also work there and we know nothing of what goes on. While I have friends and relatives there I would like to write sort of a blog on small activities that go on that no ever hears about that continue to perpetuate the problems inside.

Her attitude is well and good but until parole officers and county attorney's are required to prove a parolee has done wrong then there will always be a revolving door at the prisons: Also as long as prisons are run be decree and not rules then inmates will continue to stay longer and at some point they give up and say this is where I will stay;this is my life.

My point is the names you always see: Greg Thomas & Julie Thomas : Marty Lambert & Gayle Lambert : Jack Slaughter& Bill Slaughter & Chris Slaughter. Thomas has 30 years in the job so If we get a governor that isn't a lap dog to the correctional department he will retire and Julie Thomas will move up. So what change will be made? What has been covered up will remain covered up.

My last comment was based upon the knowledge I have of Mr. Goodman. From what I have observed, he is the type of person that continually breaks rules and has little regard or respect for anyone or anything but himself and his immediate desires. I am not the type of person that immediately assumes that a person in a position of authority is always correct (or should even be in authority for that matter), but when considering Mr. Goodman's character (or lack there of) I am forced to take little stock in what he has to say. Sadly, there are people out there that do get screwed over in the prison system and I truly do feel sorry for them and wish the wrongs they have inflicted on them could be righted. I am not the type to believe that because someone has broken a law it automatically makes them a second class citizen with no rights. However, I do not feel that Mr. Goodman is one of those individuals who has been wronged. I truly do appreciate your feelings on this issue, Marc. It is an issue that should be looked into.
